The Hood Cafe’ has been locally owned and operated since October 2015. The Cafe inhabits the largest portion of the building as its dining room with original tin ceilings and walls, antique serving counter, and kitchen with extra seating and a reading corner complete with books and couches ready to relax on in part of the ell. The sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and a rich bygone era echo through the building as the scent of freshly baking bread wafts from the Café kitchen. If you are looking for a warm and inviting atmosphere and delicious food, look no further than The Hood Cafe. From the antiques displayed proudly in and above all of the windows to the delicious treats baked from scratch in-house, a trip to The Hood Café does not disappoint.
We are a local, small business supporting other local businesses. We strive to use as much local produce, products, and services as possible. We have formed partnerships with Holcomb Farm, The Gran-Val Scoop, Sussmann’s Blueberries, Billy C’s Raw Honey, Lost Acres Vineyard, Westfield River Brewing Co., Maple Corner Farms and the list goes on. Our top of the line coffee is also locally roasted at Esselon Coffee Roasting Co. in Hadley MA. On top of working with all these great businesses, we make the majority of our food from scratch just like Grandma used to. We believe in working with great, real ingredients and a lot of love (aka butter and sugar).
We are always looking to make new friends. Our working hours are:
